Demon Experiences

i believe that in the past i've started threads about ghosts and such but i haven't started one about me asking others if they have had a personal experience with a demon.. a couple of days ago i was talking to my dub son-in-law about how i wish i could believe in the unseen....such as ghosts, the paranormal, or anything out of the ordinary.. he said to me......"well what about demon stories"?

he related some stories that were given at an assembly from some who were greatly bothered by demons, mostly from africa.. so, what are we to make of those with such stories?

are they lying?

Also, in the book, "Revelation its Grand Climax at Hand, "it suggests that resurrected ones of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communication of "divine truths today." Now, if these resurrected ones spoken of are dead members of the 144,000, Is this not necromancy/spiritism?

Hmmm! Now I think if God was going to use some one to communicate divine light he would not lie about it! Did you see my Revelation Post?

I was not a J.W. when this book came out "Revelation Climax", so I want to know how could anyone believe this stuff? And, how could any elder, want conduct the book study and lie to people?

I mean do you realize out of all the Revelation Christian books out there this one really is at the top of the list as far fitch and CRAZY! I should just believe in spirits taking over my body.

This makes me think about that one scripture where the apostles on the fishing boat thought they saw a ghost, spirit? Anyhow, it was Jesus!

Some say that they had ghost stories back in Christ time and that is why they thought they saw a ghost.

So did the apostles ever see ghost! I know they expelled them from people, and heard and saw what the demons did! But why say ghost if they did not see them!

Just wondering what you think?

on page 103 of the revised flock book (1991 edition) where it discusses disfellowshipped ones (and social gatherings), it states that "loyal worshippers of jehovah will want to adhere to the inspired counsel at 1 corinthians 5:11.

" the "counsel" given there involves "not even eating" with a disfellowshipped one.. if the rank and file aren't allowed to have a literal meal with the df'd person, how come they're allowed to have a "spiritual meal" with that same person?

why should the df'd person be subjected to the torture of going to the kingdumb hell just to be ignored by everyone?

Growing up in the org, that is what I remember. Adults use to say, "Just make sure you do not end up like that person!"

Unlike today, people were nicer about it, we were all taught to smile at the df'd ones because that would give them reason to want to come back!

Now, they hide their children as they pass by df'd ones. That is just heartless!

just like the wts, the mormons (okay, the "church of jesus christ of latter-day saints," hey look, a religion with even less talent at picking a name than the jw's) hide their net worth.

nobody knows how much money they have, though estimates go as high as 30 billion usd.. .

well, this guy in portland is suing them for (what else) pastoral pedophilia, and part of the discussion of damages, the plaintiff argues, is the revelation of how much money the church has.

something always bugged me about the society's publications.

they'd always use phrases like "many persons do this" or "one expert says", or "many believe".

the person being referred to or quoted is always veiled in obscurity.

A "Captive" No Longer

okay, i recently read "captives of a concept" by don cameron and i am utterly shocked, yet i feel so i don't know- hell, free!

this guilt of believing in "god's organization" and feeling as if i was losing something that in reality never even existed!

at first i felt so guilty, as if it was my issues that led me to my path of not having faith in the organization and in a sense always believed that i was just immoral and couldn't uphold the standards.

other topics have been similar lately, and today i noticed the topic about google 'proving' that the wts deliberately lies.

but is it deliberate?
